- Attainable: Your goals should be achievable and realistic. Yes, you can aim for the moon but no pressure! Set yourself a goal that you can attain so that you don’t feel demotivated when you don’t reach it.
- Relevant: Whatever your goal is, try to make it relevant to what you’re doing.
Timely: You can keep up with your constant progress when you set a specific date or a deadline.
Tip#2 Find a cycling partner or ride with other cyclists:
Motivation is contagious!
Having someone (or someone's) there who is as dedicated to their cycling routine as much as yourself makes it so much easier when those days come along where staying on track feels impossible.
Find someone who is more committed than you are (or as committed as you are)
Your partner or friend can help keep you on track by providing moral support and motivation during difficult moments.
They also know what your goals are and how much time they take so they can encourage you when needed.

Tip#3 Reward yourself from time to time
Another winning strategy is rewarding yourself with something after completing your ride or achieving one of your goals.
Your reward could be anything from treating yourself with a healthy meal or buying a new cycling kit.

It could be a sense of pride that you’ve reached a certain level of milestone achievement you’ve always wanted to.
Therefore, you will feel motivated to keep it up no matter what.

The key to keeping your motivation up for all days ahead will be different than what you did yesterday or last week.
